Someone's still using the computer.
I spent my whole childhood staring at this hill. So I touched the screen and walked into it. Then a cursor drifted across the sky.
- Set any monitor or laptop wallpaper to the Windows XP hill, turn the room lights off, and take a vertical photo of yourself from behind your shoulder with the glowing screen in view.
- Open Seedance 2.5 with references. Add that photo as the start image and two clear photos of yourself (face and full body) as references. Set 9:16 and 15 seconds.
- Paste the prompt below and draft at 480p first. Say midday and “the bottom of the hill” or it drifts to a sunset field that doesn't look like the wallpaper.
The video begins exactly on the start image: a dark room at night, seen from just behind the man as he sits in a desk chair in front of a computer monitor showing the famous Windows XP wallpaper, a smooth rolling green hill under a deep blue sky with soft white clouds. The monitor is the only light, glowing blue on him and the desk. The man is the man from the reference photos: same face, hair, glasses and clothes. 0-4s: casual handheld phone video, slightly shaky, from behind his shoulder. He takes his hand off the mouse, leans in toward the monitor, tilts his head as if he notices something moving in the wallpaper, and slowly reaches out and touches the middle of the screen with his fingertips. The faint hum of the computer and quiet room sound. 4-6s: the screen ripples like the surface of water around his fingers and a soft breeze blows out of it. Bright white daylight spills out of the monitor onto him and the dark room. In one continuous forward move, the camera follows him as he leans in and is pulled through the screen, the dark room falling away behind. The music swells exactly here. 6-10s: bright midday. Without any cut, he is standing at the bottom of the hill from the wallpaper, seen from behind at a low angle, and the whole famous view fills the frame in front of him: one wide, smooth, gently rounded green hill rising ahead in a single soft curve, its crest a clean arc against the sky, exactly the composition of the Windows XP wallpaper. The sky is a deep, rich blue, darker at the top of the frame, with bright puffy white cumulus clouds. The sun is high overhead, crisp and bright like noon, never golden or sunset light. He walks up the hill and the camera follows a few steps behind him at hip height on a smooth Steadicam. The hill is a real field, not a painting: thick, uneven spring grass of slightly different greens with clover and tiny wildflowers, rippling in the wind. 10-15s: he stops and tilts his head back to look up at the sky. A classic computer mouse cursor, a clean white arrow with a thin black outline exactly like the pointer on a screen, glides slowly across the blue sky above him between the clouds. The cursor is perfectly flat and crisp, with no shadow, no glow and no blur around it. The camera stays low behind him in the grass at a medium-wide shot. Hold on that view. One continuous take with no cuts. It opens like casual phone video, then the camera moves like a Hollywood Steadicam following him. Cinematic film look once he is through the screen: fine film grain, soft highlight roll-off, natural haze at the horizon, realistic color grade. The greens and blues are rich like the wallpaper but true to life, so it looks like a real hillside and not a screensaver or a video game. Natural skin texture, real weight and physics. His expression is quiet wonder. No readable text anywhere: no words on the screen, no taskbar, no logos, no captions. Sound: a quiet dark room and the hum of a computer, then wind rushing out of the screen as it ripples; a warm, nostalgic music swell lands as he is pulled through and builds to the end, with wind through the grass and distant birds. No dialogue.
